ABOUT COMMISSIONING PORTRAITS
A fine art portrait of your best friend (or of the two of you together) is a wonderful way to honor the years of unconditional love and devotion you’ve shared, and makes a very special gift that will be treasured for years to come.
Working from a single photo or any combination of photos, Susan Falcon-Hargraves can create a custom work of art just for you, capturing the very special essence that makes your beloved friend one of a kind.
Portraits are priced by size, the number of figures and whether or not humans are included in the final work.
A smaller painting of just your pet's face and part of the shoulders can be really effective, and has the additional advantage of being affordable. These sizes are also less expensive to ship.
Sample pricing for the most popular canvas sizes:
12 x 12 portrait created for $300
16 x 16 portrait created for $325
16 x 20 for $350
20 x 20 for $400
(plus shipping - shipping cost depends on actual size and where you are of course, but I've recently shipped a 16 x 16 from AZ to Penn for $50 via UPS).
I can accept check or credit card payments via Paypal. If helpful, I can split the fee into 2 payments, half before and half plus shipping on approval (via email image).
If you have a deadline because this is going to be a gift, please let me know and I'm sure I can accommodate your needs.
Hope this helps . . . Please contact me with your ideas and budget for more pricing information regarding larger works, paintings with several figures, etc.
Half of the agreed upon fee is required to begin work on any larger commission, the other half on completion, plus shipping expenses if there are any. Payments may be made by check or by major credit cards or echeck through Paypal. Clients who live outside of the greater Phoenix area will be provided with either a color print proof or an emailed image for approval before the completed work is shipped.
